As I sit down to recount my journey, I realize it's not just a career but a narrative that began in 2007 when I took my first steps as an accountant at New Malik Transport. Join me as I unfold the chapters that led me from the store shelves of Varanasi to overseeing the construction of Transmission Lines in Africa Continent.
In the quaint city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, my career commenced at New Malik Transport Company. As an accountant, I meticulously maintained cash and bank books, keeping a watchful eye on the ins and outs of the godown materials. It was a period of foundational learning and setting the tone for the years to come.
The journey continued as I transitioned to Heidelberg Cement India Limited, a German enterprise with a presence in Varanasi. Here, I delved into the intricate world of financial management—maintaining cash books, bank books, sale books, C&F bills, and dealing with ledger intricacies. Quarterly reconciliations with the factory and corporate office became a routine, honing my financial acumen.
The narrative took an exciting turn as I found myself at Instalaciones Inabensa S.A. in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. It was here that I contributed to the completion of the ±800 kV HVDC PKG-A7 Transmission line of Power Grid—the first of its kind in India. The experience marked a shift towards the dynamic realm of high-voltage direct current transmission, setting the stage for more ambitious projects ahead.
My journey brought me to the regional project office of Skipper Limited in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, where I seamlessly managed four store and accounts teams. Successfully closing 11 transmission lines for UPPTCL was not just a professional achievement but a testament to the growth and expertise gained over the years.
Transitioning to Transon Engineering Private Limited in Gurgaon, Haryana, I successfully closed the 132 LILO Mant-Bamouli Transmission line and handled 220 kV lines of Aurangabad and MSETCL projects. In 2019, I made a pivotal move to Transrail Lighting Limited, marking the beginning of a new chapter in my professional journey. Assigned to challenging projects at Vadodara, Gujarat, where the highlight was being part of the historic High-Speed Bullet Train Project for NHSRCL.
The latest chapter unfolds in Niamey, Niger, West Africa, where I am currently the Dy. Manager-Commercial for Transrail Lighting Limited. The mission: constructing a 330 kV power transmission lines spanning 327 kms. This endeavor, part of the West African Power Pool (WAPP), is a testament to the evolution from a local store accountant to a global player in the energy sector.
As I pen down these reflections, I'm grateful for the diverse experiences that have shaped my professional voyage. From the store shelves of Varanasi to the expansive grids of Africa Continent, each phase has added a layer to this ever-unfolding narrative. The journey is far from over, and I invite you to stay tuned as I navigate the future, one grid at a time.
My educational journey commenced at St. Joseph's School near my native place. The joy of learning, coupled with my interest in sports like cricket and badminton, shaped my early years. After completing my primary education, I moved on to H.S.I. College Devkali in Ghazipur, choosing the science stream for my higher secondary education. Physics, Chemistry and Biology became the building blocks of my academic foundation.
During my career journey, a fascination with computer hardware and networking emerged. Seeking a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, I enrolled in a diploma course at Microzenith Institute in Varanasi during my early career. This program provided hands-on training in installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining computer systems and network devices.
Armed with my diploma, I embarked on the professional landscape. Despite encountering challenges in the job market, my determination to learn and grow in the field of Computer Hardware & Networking remained unwavering. To further enrich my skill set and broaden my career prospects, I made the strategic decision to pursue an MBA in Accounts & Finance through distance learning at Subharti University, Merrut (UP).
Now, let's shift gears and explore the personal realm of my life.
In 2006, my professional journey began as a computer teacher at KK Computer, Harishankari, Ghazipur. It was during this phase that I crossed paths with Md Ali and Sehrish Fatema, individuals who would go on to play significant roles in both my professional and personal spheres.
Our collaboration extended beyond teaching to taking on data entry contracts for various banks during their CBS up-gradation. Although our partnership flourished for 1.5 years, we eventually had to part ways due to family reasons.
To support my ambitions of this life, I took on diverse roles in various companies, including New Malik Transport, Heidelberg Cement India Limited, and Instalaciones INABENSA S.A. These experiences not only honed my skills but also deepened my understanding of project management and team leadership.
In the midst of my career pursuits, Destiny intervened in 2010. Sehrish Fatema reentered my life with a phone call, rekindling memories and transforming our connection from friendship to love.
In 2012, against the backdrop of uncertainties, Sehrish and I exchanged vows. The narrative deepened with the arrival of our son in 2013, weaving a tapestry of shared laughter and midnight lullabies.
The climax of this narrative unfolded in 2016 when we took a leap of faith by relocating to Lucknow. The city became the canvas for the next chapter of our love story, introducing layers of challenges and triumphs to the script.
In 2023, a milestone unfolded as I purchased a home for my family—a testament to my journey both personally and professionally. Our love story, with its twists and turns, continues to unfold, a masterpiece penned by two hearts intertwined in the beautiful chaos of life.
